Welcome to AIA Winston-Salem AIA Winston-Salem is proud to represent the architectural profession through leadership and stewardship to the community on all aspects of the built environment. The AIA Winston-Salem Section is comprised of about 120 AIA members, primarily in Forsyth County. The Section membership also includes architects from Northern Piedmont counties including Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Caldwell, Davie, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yadkin. The Section meets on a regular basis and provides a variety of continuing education opportunities to its membership. Each year a competition is held among the members to choose Section Design Award recipients. Other past events include a Parkitecture Competition, Golf Tournaments to raise money for scholarships, and hands-on material workshops like Brick Day. The AIA Winston-Salem Section also has knowledge communities for special interests such as the Committee on the Environment (COTE) and Emerging Professionals for interns. We welcome you to learn more about our organization and our members. Participation within the organization is open at many levels, including membership for registered professionals, associate members, and sponsorship opportunities for the many allied suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to the profession.
